    VidApp vs Uscreen

Uscreen and VidApp both serve fitness and wellness creators. Here is what is actually different between them.

Uscreen is one of the more common platforms creators are evaluating when they talk to us. It is a legitimate option. Here is our honest view of what separates the two.

    What Uscreen does well

Uscreen is a well-built self-serve membership platform. It bundles video hosting, marketing tools, live streaming, community features, and app distribution in one place. For creators who want a broad feature set in a single dashboard, it covers a lot of ground. Their apps are published under your own developer accounts and include automatic updates. For creators who are comfortable configuring and managing their own platform, it is a capable product.

    Where the platforms are different

    Self-serve versus managed

Uscreen is a self-serve platform where you build and manage your app within their framework. VidApp is a managed service that builds a fully custom app for you.

On Uscreen, your branding is applied to Uscreen's structure. The app carries "Powered by Uscreen" branding by default, which is only removed at their Custom pricing tier or as a paid add-on. The navigation, UX patterns, and underlying product decisions are Uscreen's.

On VidApp, your app is designed from the ground up around your content and your members. Your brand is the only brand in the product.

What you get at each tier

On Uscreen's pricing structure, apps come in tiers. Their App Essentials plan ($449 to $499 per month) gives you 2 mobile apps (iOS and Android) with no TV apps. TV apps, community features, a dedicated success manager, and whitelabelling are all on their Custom plan only. The full Uscreen product as typically described requires their top tier.

VidApp includes all platforms, account management, and ongoing maintenance as part of the service from the start.

    Who Uscreen is right for

Uscreen is a strong choice if you want a self-serve all-in-one platform: web, marketing automation, community tools, and app distribution in one place. If you are earlier in building your membership business and want to manage the platform yourself, Uscreen's feature breadth and accessible entry pricing make it a reasonable starting point.

    Who VidApp is right for

VidApp is right for established fitness creators where the app is the primary product. If your brand on your members' home screen matters, if you want a team managing your app rather than managing it yourself, and if you want an app designed for your content rather than configured within a platform framework, that is what VidApp is built for.
